When I mentioned in our Day 3 boat report that the average of the 3 days in Montana on the river will likely surpass any day in 2010 as ‘best day of the year’, I meant it.  Fishing on those rivers is akin to trekking in the Himalayas, sea kayaking in Baja, golfing in Ireland.  To Duane’s point, ‘a box to check’…. But hopefully again and again.

 

Your hospitality was over the top.  Kathy’s cooking, the gorgeous accommodations and the general abundance of welcome and generosity.  Plus, we had the chance to meet some truly fine individuals during the journey.

 

As a thanks, I want you to know I made a donation to Five Valley’s Land Trust in your and Kathy’s name (by mail, they’ll get after the 4^th).  Like you, I’m a firm believer in protecting what we love… not just for us, but to honor those who preceded us and secure for our kids and their kids and…

 

Hope you have a wonderful July 4^th weekend and the rest of summer.  Thanks for Montana!
